LooneyTrails v1.2
I have released version 1.2 of LooneyTrails and it now supports Fortress Forever. What the mod does is adds a beam, dust, energy, smoke, or sparks trail to projectile entities of many Source-engine games. For Fortress Forever, the supported entities are ff_projectile_nail, ff_projectile_rocket, ff_grenade_normal, ff_projectile_gl, ff_projectile_pl, ff_projectile_ic, ff_projectile_dart, and ff_projectile_rail. Server owners can choose to have any of the effects per team per each entity. They can set any of them as "random" to choose a random effect each time the entity is created by the specific team. They can also choose to not have any effect for entities.
Since Fortress Forever is run on the pre-OrangeBox Source-engine, this mod only requires the server plugin EventScripts 2.0. Make sure you install 2.0, because 2.1 is for OrangeBox engine games. I hope some of you will download and test this out. If you do and you like it, please feel free to log in to the Eventscripts Forum and +woot the script. If it's editing the graphical side of the game, then it most likely modifies dll files, which would register a vac ban. But, I don't know how it works. Just be careful. I don't trust anyone.

Well, I thought I had explained it well, but I guess I'll try again. As noted in the first post, it requires the SERVER plugin Eventscripts (not SM). Thus the need to install ES 2.0. It in no way modifies ANY files on your server (or clients). Trust me, the ES community as a whole is very much against hacks/exploits.
It 'can' affect fps, but not very noticably unless you have lots of projectiles flying at once. Hope I answered all your questions. If you have more, feel free to post them. If anyone has tested this, let us know if you liked/disliked it and why. Thanks, Satoon |

Quite frankly I don't see the point in making greande trails for a game that already has grenade trails..
