I guess this can be treated as a manga/anime general discussion thread, though I'm also looking for manga/anime recommendations. My French host family is really into anime o.O so I'll be starting Wakfu soon.

Mega Series: Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Kenshin, Inuyasha, D. Gray Man. Yes I'm 12 y/o girl.
Underrated: Berserk, Last Exile, Big O. Gonna be a contrarian douche and not mention CBB or Trigun. They were decent but everyone acts like they're the holy bible of anime. CBB barely had an ending. Last edited by the_cake; 09-13-2012 at 11:10 PM. |

Shame they ended the anime after the biggest plot twist.
YuYu Hakusho. That was the other one I couldn't remember that I spent 200 hours of my life watching every episode. |

while its not really an anime try Avatar: the Last Airbender/Legend of Kora. (not the movie the tv show.)
 its actually really well written, despite being on nickelodeon.

All my friends are yelling at me to start One Piece and Trigun, so I guess I'll give those a go pretty soon. Wrote down everything else.

OP starts slow and kinda corny but gets better as it goes. That's probably true for most of the long running series.
The wife loves every Miyazaki film ever made. I liked Howl's and Castle in the sky. Spirited Away is good in a kid's weird nightmare kind of way. |

Ah yes, I loved Castle in the Sky. I'm pretty sure Spirited Away was my first Miyazaki film, followed by Howl's Moving Castle. Good stuff.
I just saw Ponyo for the first time recently, didn't do much for me though.
