Like shoot a rocket, then somehow get to that rocket you just shot and be able to be hit by it.

i dont think you can hit yourself with a rocket right now, i think it goes right through you. i have been able to get ahead of rockets on aardvark with a nail gren and nade rocket combo and im pretty sure it goes right through you

Yeah, I'm quite sure your own rocket won't hit you. None of your own projectiles do (I've tried bouncing a railgun shot straight back at me, but it goes right through).

Squeek, railguns do hit yourself after 2 bounces, ricey watched me on a map (was in beta so I dunno if it's different)

There should be something where when you collide 2 rockets together that it makes one massive explosion blowing up everything in its path.

In TFC, if you fire a rocket and it hits a grenade(yours or someone elses), it blows up and you can take splash damage. I think your own projectiles should be able to hit you.

So this being said what can I do to make it happen? I understand the fact that you cant per say rocket yourself BUT how can I? lol and also another to throw @ you guys......
How can I get the flamethrower to be like a push to another player? Like if someone got on my head and I used flamethrower to push them into the air? I have reasons and purposes for this stuff and its not for pub/pickup play devs Come on gotta be a way for something........... |

Server mod a la NeoTF? That's my guess, but I don't really know how that stuff works.
Or do some fancy stuff with Lua. Or learn C++, become a dev, and edit ff_weapon_flamethrower.cpp. My point is this is all server-side. Unless you edit the server in some fashion, there's nothing you can do.

srsly ff needs rockets to hit their owners. zE would have a field day with the different map creations you could make, mentalerror too

Some ideas which may or may not be possible with lua
- Swap the entity's owner or team (when it's created, or check every tick) - Check the distance between owner and projectile and explode it when they are close enough (or remove it and apply pushforce in the direction between the rocket and the player) - override the flaginfo command so that players can bind a key to flaginfo which explodes all their rockets (cant remember how often it's called tho, i think just on spawn) - but you'd have to det them manually.. |

You know, that would be a fantastic feature for the Solly to have, to be able to detonate his rockets with a command key! Even if you miss, you can still hurt someone with splash damage if they are close enough.
