JackBauer, the Tournment idea was a cool thing, but it did more damage then help, before the tournment start there was a increase of pickups and stuff, with the dudes that here signed in, but then when people realized the tournment would fail, cuse no one was around to run it, and coicidence or not the euro pickup was killed.

on a serious note, I think this time we can really do it. it's winter, most peeps won't go outside when it gets dark and spend some time online, also a new patch could increase the amount of players.

I also think we have learnt from our mistakes and this time we can make it happen, if enough people are willing to play.

to come back to your statement zE, this tournament might decide FF's fate - either save it or kill it.

No, euro pickup is dead because there are no players to play with. You can't go blaming the cup for that because there were mostly pub players in there.

He's already recognized the reason(s) it failed, and admitted to being part of the problem. In the colder months, it may have a chance to work. I didn't sign up the first time, because I knew I wouldn't be able to play. That may be the case for many people.

If you don't want to give it a shot, fine. Don't. But don't badmouth the idea, either.

Clans have failed, leagues have failed, the ff cup has failed. so what? what's the big deal? people always said it was gonna fail and that's what happened.

I can provide the schedules, servers, teams and so on, but at the end of the day the peeps have to play it. if they don't show up or appear to be MIA, then I can't do much about it.

nope pretty sure you started a tournament organized it half way then went missing in action for the duration of the tournament but thats fine i expected that from homos like bridgets

There's nothing wrong with trying it. Don't listen to the detractors... try it again. Who's to say it won't work with a new patch(2.42) and the influx of players that usually brings? It shouldn't take much to organize it, and as long as you follow through as much as you can, if it fails, so what? At least then it's not your fault.

In the past, ff.pickup members routinely joined the Talos server to troll our community. I think GT even has some logs where people planned it out before going ahead with it. After the fact, everyone complained that they were drunk or under some influence and that they didn't mean to do it. Usually, it would be fallacious to blame the entire (North American) pickup community off some of their members, but it seems to be a trend with them. Most of them are arrogant assholes who just talk shit constantly and drive the community apart or away. It's as if when TF2 came out, VALVe took the TFC community and shook them through the 'arrogant asshole' sieve. All the good players that fell through moved on to Team Fortress 2 and the remaining chunks of fail were brushed off into the Fortress Forever prospector's bucket.
