Should FF Have Competitive Tournaments?

It was some sort of thought that I had for a few months. It would be kind of similar to UGC's TF2 competitive stuff except it would be for Fortress Forever. Express your thoughts and ideas here. How do you think it would change Fortress Forever?

People are currently working on that. There used to be a UGC league, and there used to be a league run through the forums here, but they both died.

There's only enough people to MAYBE support a competitive 2v2 league. Outside of that, #ff.pickup will be the only source of competitive Fortress Forever.

The biggest hurdles for competitive FF are:
  • Too few players
  • Time constraints
  • Skill gap

If the FF competitive scene grew by about 50 consistent players you could support a more traditional 4v4, 5v5 league. Otherwise, you'll have to appreciate and support #ff.pickup for all your competitive needs.

I read competitive mode Ã* la cs:go, which I find extremely interesting. unfortunately the amount of active players is almost none, so perhaps worth a thought for a new tf-inspired game one day.
