where to find a laptop in usa?

need to get a laptop in usa for my gf. she just wants to do office stuff on it - no video games.

since I'm not very familiar with american stores, where (online stores) can I find any reasonably priced laptops? if possible just up to 400 bucks.

Watch out for their rebate crap. They're notorious for not fulilling them.

Newegg is always my first choice for anything electronic. Then Amazon.

I ordered a toshiba notebook about a week ago. got an email this morning they have finally shipped my product.

hopefully no one has to walk and deliver it personally - would be easier (and faster) if they used cars or planes.
