I'm normally all for PC versions and all, but I don't think Batman was a game that was necessarily made for PC... I believe the focus was console, just with a simple PC port.
I'd try it on console tbh. |

what particularly didnt you like about the demo? because the demo is a pretty good indicator on how the game plays... the 3 main types of play are exploration/detective type stuff (wasnt really covered in the demo), freeflow combat (covered in the first part of the demo), and invisible predator (covered at the end of the demo). if you dont like the gameplay in the demo, 1. you probably arent going to love the full game, and 2. youre crazy.

I didn't like the invisible predator crap. Also, the fact they you are unarmed and one shot kills.
Everyone claims this is one of the "best games ever made." So I'll give it another try... |

the invisible predator is my favorite part of the game! its all about being stealthy and setting up traps. in the demo you are really limited because you only have a single batarang and none of the other cool gadgets, so its kinda tough. it took me a few playthroughs of that last section of the demo before i could get into the swing of the stealth action, but once i got it, it was fun as shit. there are so many different ways to go about clearing the room... you just gotta stay out of sight.

One thing that bothered me is that there was NO way to tell if people could see you. So you jump behind someone and your fine. But you do it to another and BAM everyone can see you... Plus, constantly changing between normal and special vision is annoying.

At my weekend job I'm playing Turbo Grafx 16 and Sega on my laptop.
I also play MAME games on it too. I have a choice of well over 6000 games to choose from. Never a dull moment when doing security "work" during 3rd shift and nobody is around. |

Sooooo, DDO is free now. I guess it bombed bad enough that they had to take the Korean MMO route. You can play the basic content for free but extras, like more classes, races, and I imagine further expansions, will require you to buy a VIP account for $15 a month.
http://www.ddo.com/ I'm thinking about giving it a shot just to see how the world is, I've always liked D&D. |

Yes! I was looking forward to when it became free. I know it's not much like table-top D&D, but Gen Con peaked my interest in it again, so I figured DDO wouldn't be a bad choice.

DDO isn't bad if you're in for a certain type of game. For example, I would enjoy it if I had a group of people to RP with, or maybe not to RP with but to just expand upon a story with.
The problem is that I don't . Anyway, I'm currently playing Champions Online, Fortress Forever, and starting Heroes of Newerth. Every now and again I play some RB2.

I downloaded the demo for Darkest of Days yesterday. It was a good bit of fun, a slight change of pace from standard story driven fps's. In a pinch, you're swiped from the past to do battle with other peeps from the past in order to save people in the past. In the demo there isn't much back story besides someone showing up and bam, you're the hero. Even if it doesn't change in the full version, I think it'll be fun. How can you not like mowing down Roman legionnaires with futuristic weapons?

I did play both Mirror's Edge and Batman recently...
I had nothing to do so I played Mirror's Edge for a whole day... Ya, the game is just boring... Don't bother. I actually sorta like Batman. Then I had a creapy ass dream with Harley Quinn in it. Ya... I have yet to pick up batman again... For the DS I played Mario Party. It was fun! ...Then I beat the mission and couldn't find the point of replaying the game again |

I'm pretty much only playing Quake Live now, mostly CTF because CTF rules :P
Finished Trine and Braid, both quality games I highly recommend, both small games in a similar vein to the excellent World of Goo which I also recommend. Am really enjoying QLCTF though, keeps me away from FF :X |

Yeah, see, I really liked Mirror's Edge. In fact, it was one of my favorite games of last year (or 2007? I forgot when it came out).

For those who didn't try Braid yet, it's currently Steam's weekend deal with 66% off, so it's like $5 or something, don't know exactly as I'm not in America :P
