Your thing that you do to keep you from killing yourself/your wife, or what gets you to your job each day.

Mine is taking a looooong fucking hot shower in my bath tub(yea, i lie down in it and let it shower all over me) and then dream away and have a really good long wank.

not everyday, but if i get stressed i either fuck with one of my synths or actually write and record music (very fucking rare lately) or play tfc. actually just got done with a game of tfc. prodigal_r rules.

edit: and sometimes if im really freaking out, i go driving and purposely get myself lost for a few hours out away from the city. theres something about the calmness of the countryside at 3 am that just makes me feel whole.

Well I Also like to get in the bath tub to relax while I sip on a glass of Orange Juice. In the bath tub is where I do most of my thinking and I feel more relax. I live in an rural area, and I just sit outside in the grass and I watch the cows do their business or I just lay on the grass and watch the sky. In the day I see Military craft from the near by Air Base and at night I watch the sky full of Stars (which I didn't see when I lived in So-Cal). Also when I'm in the car with friends singing along to songs. After Sex? When I read a book.

I live near an airport, there were a few times where i got the shit scared out of me because some of the bastards were flying low... but anyways.

Showers. Yeah. I got a thing that massages the back "with the water" , that and listening to music & reading books.

General Stress ---> go see m' lady. She makes me sane.

Relationship stress ---> beat the fuck out my drumkit and/or play guitar loud as fuck and only songs you can scream. Once I have no voice left or my arms and legs feel like jello then I just pass out.

Lately it's going out to Arabica (cafe). Sounds silly, but I go out with my laptop and write (fiction, poetry, etc.). The drive is enjoyable, too, since I can't play music that loud at my apartment. It's relaxing.

Mapping kept me sane for a while... I'm not sure I would call it a 'ritual', though, just an engrossing task that keeps you occupied for hours every day.

I used to write poetry actually a few years (5 or 6 to be exact) back and I think I still have like 20 of them online posted at www.poetry.com. They at least give you a platform that you can save on to go and view them forever but they send you stupid advertisements to publish in your own book for over a $1000 dollars. hell they have to make money some how. Since that is for long gone since they were not easy to understand and most people claimed they were way too $%^&#$ up. Now my passion is work and more work. Improving my home and bleeding everyday.

When hunting season comes around, I finally get to kill something. I also garden. My garden philosophy goes by one simple rule, if it does not bear fruit, cut it down. So if any flowers come up, they get pulled up by the roots and thrown across the yard. The typical summer garden is squash, tomatoes, zucchini, peppers and some okra. Gardening is a constant reminder of how fragile life is. Take care of the garden (your body) and you will reap rewards. At the end of the seasons, like a garden, we all die.

And i am drummer, but i really know shit about the skins and stuff, only been playing for 2 years and i have digital drumkit and im not very into the drums, more into the guitar.
