Q4F Alpha Released
If your bored have a look at the unfinished alpha it has been released to the public with the sourcecode .. there are many things not yet finished but a full readme .. explains about 99% of things.

yeah, q4 was a downer on me, too.
Doom 3 worked on my machine while I was using bittorrent... Q4 didn't work in lower res and without anything else running on my pc... But now I've got a newer one from a friend of mine ^_^ |

i tweaked q4 to look like doom1 and it still ran worse than doom3. that is some crappy code right there

Not to be an asshole or anything, but I won't even bother downloading/playing this. Why? It will never be completed and this release is full of bugs/unpolished mechanics. So why bother - a shame that no one jumped in to help their team; forced them to give up and release something that's 75% done .

It sounds like its mainly released for developers anyway.

didnt q4 have really annoying movement? it felt a worse than the previous quake engine
