One Question IQ Test

One Question IQ Test

From Chronowatch, “here’s a one-question IQ Test to help you decide how you should spend the rest of your day….”

There is a mute who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing one’s teeth, he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done.

Now, if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself?

Think about it first before looking below for the answer…

He opens his mouth and says, “I would like to buy a pair of sunglasses”.
If you got this wrong- please turn off your computer and call it a night.

Why the hell would he need sunglasses? I've never understood that.

How does he know that they notice? My point is that some asshole sat there and gave the poor guy a complex about his eyes. A person born blind doesn't know what his/her own eyeballs looks like. Let alone knowing they're blind. They have to be told that they are blind.

yeah, but im sure they are doing it for others. Like im sure you would get really uncomfortable if some one was just sitting there and staring at you. Blind or not. Trust me, i used to baby sit a blind reletive. Even when they are just listening to music and they have there eyes onto you, it gets wierd.

So you're saying this guy has to wear sunglasses just to make other people more comfortable? This sounds a lot like an -ism.

I think it's soulless to bring to other people's attention their shortcomings or things they are uncomfortable about on their body. I think the inability to completely accept another person as they are whether they want sunglasses or not to hide their screwy eyeballs is soulless. It was soulless in the first place for that blind man to be made uncomfortable about it his apparent legal "disability".

Yeah... I get your joke.

I understand what you are saying. But this is just one of those things that we cant help. We arent trying to be mean by asking them to use glasses. They just dont understand how uncomfortable it makes us feel. There is no way to not get irritated by some one starring at you like that. Nothing you can really do, its all subconscious wiring.

Even though a blind person should not be asked to wear glasses to make others feel more comfortable, I doubt they all do so simply because someone asked them to. However, I see both your sides. As moderator of this debate, I'm asking for one final thought from each after which I will make a decision on the winner. Go.
