Beta Requirements?
Any one know what the team is going to be looking for in beta testers, Id like to get my resume ready. Do they want any references? Sample bug reports? Or is this going to be a forum popularity contest?

There's currently already a discussion on the beta, http://forums.fortress-forever.com/s...ead.php?t=5514.
To answer your question, I don't think they're going to be accepting applications just yet. The initial beta is going to be very small so I imagine they'll simply ask a select group of forum members to participate. They'll also NOT be requiring NDAs to be signed so a small beta makes sense. Later on, they'll open up new tiers which allows for more and more members to participate in the beta. At that time, I bet they'll accept applications. As to what they're looking for, thats unclear. They haven't outlined requirements, probably because they don't want 3000 forum members to try and "fit the mold" all at the same time. |

I don't know who does all the vBulletin stuff, but if you do, you're reading this, I'd make it so you can view the rules above the part where you post a new thread. If you are not sure, just PM me, I'm pretty experienced with vB. This way, people will see the golden rule; Don't ask about beta.

That's not the golden rule. The golden rule is don't start pointless threads about matters which have been discussed in great detail many times over.

Beta spots will be decided on the largest, most conniving and vicious battlefield the world has ever known...
eBay. Nah, just kidding. But you know what they say, a little bribery goes a long way. :O |

Why pay money so you can play a game that will be buggy and most likely crash your shitty computer.

I would have paid just to be able to see the evolution of the mod from the inside during the last year.
I have interest in game development but never really got to do anything serious. I applied for the mapper spot when they needed one but didn't get picked. |

the NS forums are back up.... for constellation members. theyre gonna hang on a bit before they let the rest in.
NS constellation membership has gotta be the gayest thing ever to happen to the mod community: pay up front a one off fee for an e-penis the size of jupiter, and delay the rest of the community. |

It's probably a true statement to a certain extent anyway, if it was uniformly awesome it wouldn't be a closed beta would it? ;)
