There are no more movies. However, there is a 20 minutes anime of FFVII called Final Fantasy "Last Order". Pretty sweet seeing FFVII in animated form. Search for it on any bittorrent site and I'm sure you will find it.

Well there's Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Those are the only two CGI ones I can think of.

FF and AC were both awful imo, although nicely made in terms of visuals. Last Order was great, would like to see more of that kind stuff! =/

I really don't see the difference between cg and anime when they purposely make the cg characters look like anime characters.
Plus the cg is made by the Japanese anyways. Cg is a form of animation done on computers, thus it is still Japanese Animations, aka anime. Especially if you are reading subtitles on the cg. |

I don't think there's anything planned. I'm actually a little glad. I don't think the new staff can really capture the FF7 story the same way it was written. I think that they wont ever directly touch it. Personally I repsect them for refusing to make a remake on a system unless that system is not compatable with the original. They like it how it is and don't want to risk ruining it if it can still be played.
Personally, if I am ever given the oppurtunity I'd love to write a FF7 script. I need to be famous first. And rich. Crap we're screwed. I'll keep you posted though. ... ...still poor sorry guys. |

Advent Children was amazing. I wish they would remake VII for the PS3. I would buy it. So would all my friends. I don't think it would be selling out either, it's such a great game it would only do it justice to give it an upgrade to the visual.
It's my favorite game of all time but trying to play it now with it's blocky characters and stiff controls just makes me sad. |

I loved advent children. I've already watched it 4 or 5 times. I have to show it to all my frieds :P. I'm almost certainly going to watch it again this weekend when a friend I haven't seen in a while comes over.
I like to think of Advent Children as the only movie based on a videogame. ...if you know what I mean. I wish hollywood would do game movies like that. And, now that someone mentions it, the FF game that really needs a graphics update is Final Fantasy III (or VI Japanese wise). That is the best Finaly Fantasy game, or, you could also say, the best video game. (See, this is why I like FF games. You get to speak in superlatives so much.) P.S. Why the fuck was Tseng still alive in Advent Children? Sephiroth cut him in half, then his corpse was crushed in that temple. Edit: Screw you! I wrote Tseng, not Tsung. You can all shut up! Zomg not edited. Last edited by o_nezumi; 07-07-2006 at 10:17 AM. |

Tseng.
He didn't cut him in half, he just cut him open, and he wasn't necessarily crushed. Plus you've got all kinds of ways to bring him back... cloning... Mako infusion... traditional medical technology... the list goes on? ------------ Or did you mean Shang Tsung?

He was definitely dead. I just watched that part. (My roommate was playing)
Anyway, that's not the point. |
