It's school tradition in this area, not sure if same thing happening in other High school. I know 4 other high schools that are doing the same. There are different types of college.. 6th Form college is harder to get into (depending on the place) whereas normal college is piss easy to get into.

The concept of senior ditch day isn't retarded, scheduling it years ahead of time is. You're supposed to work out the day as a class during senior year, so no one expects it. If everyone knows it's gonna be the 7th of June there's no point. They can't be allowed see it coming.
