Interview and two Scout shots!
http://www.hlfallout.net/
http://www.hlfallout.net/articles.php/interview_71/ Great work! :P *Added by schtoofa: After AzleGamer (from Half-Life Fallout) accused us of being nothing but a lot of drivelswiggers, we had no choice but to acquiesce to his interview & exclusive media request. So we shared a hogshead and enjoyed wenches, meanwhile Kelly (Dospac) entertained such questions as: Quote:
Thanks again, AzleGamer & Half-Life Fallout! |

hah !
reading.. Quote:
as for the steampowered comments, this interview, posted on a major hl2 site, could get things moving a bit. i at least hope so. cool interview, even there's not really much that the forumers don't already know . it looks like the interviewer knows the whereabouts of FF, many questions were quite precise and covered something notable about FF and its development. (FF for noobs or TFC vets ? / Valve relationship, etc..) go team |

It was a very nice interview, but i'm more concern on the responses. The people that responded seemed worried about the fact none of the classes have been textured. I guess I'm wondering, should this worry us? And could you give us some info about how texturing is going at the moment.
Just a curious viewer |

id rather see smoothshaded models than shabby texturing, so im guessing theyre not releasing any until they're happy with them

Anyway, while models might be forthcoming a tad slower compared to other mods, FF's maps have been progressing VERY nicely. And in all fairness, everybody starts with the models, it's refreshing that FF does not, and instead focuses on maps, sound and code (where other mods have a tendency to lack). I still have the utmost confidence the FF team will do a great job with this mod, and leave other mods crawling in the dust (with the possible exception of CS, that one just doesn't seem to die ). |

Damn... it's all blocked by SonicWall.
Damn SonicWall... damn it all to HELL! ...any way of posting the entire thing (w/media) in the forums? ...of course, the media has to be hosted by Fortress-Forever, not hlfallout. ... meh... guess I have to wait until I get home. |

What caught my attention big time was...

Very interesting.... Sounds like individual player progression through a match. Weapon upgrades perhaps? Maybe adding another 50 armor? 50 health? All after a certain amount of caps or kills of course. Very interesting indeed. |

Thanks Azle! The presentation looks good.
There's going to be some newsworthy announcements and new things to discuss with our mod in the future, hope you stay in touch. =) |

Also, Travis Dane had a good point. Other mods DO seem to start with models. Or maybe there's just a big repository of models of Military-dressed guys somewhere on the internet. Whenever someone starts a mod, they just go download a few of the models and make an announcement. P.S. Good interview. <3 xoxo |

Pretty much every HL2 mod out at the moment is lop-sided. They either have good programming and decent gameplay and poor art / maps / models, or they have decent art and a lack of finesse in the programming (or they just have 100% art and very little coding whatsoever). We don't want to ship the mod when it's resembling anything but great in all areas.
