A map where engineers are critical
I thought it would be interesting to make a low ammo map...
Since the dispenser produces ammo and armor, perhaps a low ammo map would make the dispenser more useful (since its not useful for anything except exploding right now). Everyone could spawn with only (for example only) 8 shotty bullets, 20 nails, 5 rockets, 20 cells (unless engineer, he gets the minimum required to make a dispenser). Perhaps less ammo than that and only ammo relivant to the class. There would have to be something done to make the classes that have powerful/useful ammoless attacks (e.g. medic or spy). Then again, maybe the map wouldn't be any fun if ammo was too scarce. |

other than people dieing how would the engi get enough ammo to keep refilling the dispenser?

Unless it is another version of the TF mod, the dispenser makes ammo. The team would function wonderfully as 1/3 engineers... You only need enough ammo to last until you die and hopefully no more than that or you help the enemy.

You need metal to build the disp first, then you need to fill it with something... The engineer can make ammo with the discard command but it takes up metal (a little too much metal! WINK DEVS LOL)

Having a few maps that depended more of the classes would be sweet. Im horrible with TFC map names btu the one where its like night time and prison like and Demo man can go in the cave like thing and set a detpack and blow a hole in the enamy's field and get into there base that way. SERIOUSLY SWEET.
Which reminds me wahts the name of that map as i want to see the progress on it. Would have to be my 2nd favorite.... Any map where you can gas everyone and run into your anti-Gas chamber and stay safe is a good map Oh i also like that kinda 2fort ish map but it was at night and there wasnt a bridge it was just water. what was the name of that map. |

but not as much as the prison one. with the pit and the gass and the xplosive for demo. |

It would take a very long time for the game to heat up!
It take a while till a dispence really starts building up on ammo. Plus! when your whole team is using it... ya, it would really suck |

I'm hoping not many 3rd party maps get released in the first week of ff's release because they should use that time to test how their maps play, scale and what not.
So don't rush and play the official maps to death first! |

Yeah id say 4or5 then slowly put out a few more over time. i like it how they did that with source. tho they are doing it waaaaaaaaaaaaay to slow. and no one ever seems to play inferno due to all the entity and bigness and laggness of it. And ppl dont liek Prodigy.. so stuck on stupid Dust2.
CS:S the only CS where Dust2 is played MORE then Aztec. |

tfc only had 2fort/well/rock2 for like a year till badlands and co2 came out, tfc still doesnt have that many official maps, theres no need for FF to release the game with more than 5 or 6, if people want to try new maps they can dl them. if you give people too much no new players will be able to get into the game and learn the maps

when i play No one ever seems to go Long A. but yah This isnt the place to get in the beef with Anti-Dust2.
Less Mapps the better... at first then slowly pump out more maps. IF YOU CHOOSE to get them. Have it like 2 months after release put the maps up on the site so people could just download them off the site. So it has the custom feel but more or less an offical release of maps. |
