Logitech G5 Mouse
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826104076
I don't give a damn how old this is, it's still sexy every time I look at it. I finally had to order this bad boy, since my older G5 mouse is finally starting to go out every now and then after 3 years (probably was my anyway fault since I let the wire get scratched up). Now this new mouse will match with my blue G15 keyboard. Here was my older model: If you never tried out a G5, even though you've probably heard this before, get it. It's worth the 50 bucks. (Warning: thread made out of boredom.)

I have the MX518 which is practically the same.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826104178 I don't think much of it really. Sure, spec wise it preforms well I guess, though, It doesn't particularly have that "luxury" wow feeling factor I was hoping for when I bought it. Overpraised mice? Probably would have been just as happy with the popular Microsoft Intellimouse Optical. Perhaps I need the feel of a shit mouse for a while and then jump back on this. And looking at the pics perhaps those subtle improvements throughout it's life on the latest model make all the difference. Like that grip and the stringy cable.

I'm also using the MX518, and it has served me well so far. Great mouse.

Those big ass end mice are so uncomfortable for me. I always feel like I'm grasping a cock while I play games with one of those. Smaller, more old school mice for me plz. Like the G9.

i like grasping cocks, so i like the feel of this mouse.
i had the g7 but decided to buy a g5 after about a year because the g7 had some serious latency issues when connected to my ps3 (playing ut3). its a good mouse, but like paft, i never feel like its some uberawesome thing. been lookin at the Roccat Kone ever since bully posted it, and id really like that mouse, but the price is pretty steep :\ |

The Logitech G5 is the biggest, most uncomfortable mouse I have ever used; I replaced it the day after purchase!
I didn't like the positioning of the mouse wheel and the buttons (side and dpi switchers). The only thing I did like was the ability to add weights to the mouse (I like a heavy mouse). |

I got it for 100 bucks a year ago (as a gift) and it was worth every penny (if I payed for it). It took a little getting used to, but I love it

i use the g5 and for my preferences and style of play it's easily the best mouse i've ever used. mouse preference is obviously a highly subjective thing tho, and there's definitely no one best mouse for everyone.. just be sure to try-out any you're considering, and go with what feels right to you.

I will say that it is a large mouse and it's strictly for right-handed mouse users. However one of my best buddies is left handed but always uses the mouse with his right hand

I used to use the Microsoft intellipoint corded optical mouse, and swore by it for years, having multiple replacements, but I finally decided to go for a gaming mouse with more buttons, and got the MX518. At first, the feel of the mouse sucked compared to my old mouse. I could cup the old mouse with my palm, and the new mouse, I can't. Maybe if the scroll wheel were moved forward an inch or so, but it felt very weird. But after using it for a couple weeks, it started to feel more natural.
I think it's just what people are used to that are the reasons why they might say other mice suck. |

Also there is a lack of decent size mice that fit my hand and all the ones that are the right size and weight (I like a heavier mouse) are all for right handers. I use the MX-510 Red. Its nice, its big enough for my hand though my hand still hangs off the end quite a bit which is why I usually end up going though mouse pads often. |
