Not as horrible as I was expecting. Already looks better than Speed Racer. Doesn't look like they tried to transfer the anime directly to real life.. which is good.

The only thing it looks like they took from the anime are the names of characters and the title.

I actually thought speed racer was very good. It's a cute family film with crazy action sequences. It did its job well.

This (dragonball) however, looks like a dump I took the other day that stunk up the bathroom at work even though I courtesy flushed.

Wow... I had a bad feeling about this from the start. Looks like I was right.

I'll probably still go see it to see how comically bad it is. Right now Fox's market is:

1) 12 year olds who watch it on Cartoon Network and think Dragonball is the MOST AWESOME THING EVAR
2) Dedicated fans who must see/buy/eat everything Dragonball
3) People who get suckered into thinking it will be genuinely good
4) People who will go to see it for the sake of how bad it will be

...

Actually, if you replace "Dragonball" with any IP, that's how most movies are nowadays anyway. |=
