Show your maps to the world

Hey guys,

If your mapping a sexytastic map you should show it off around the internet at places like www.intelopers.net or www.mapcore.net etc. Maybe not concmaps, but showing off some of the super-fine community work could help exposure, spreading the word and getting other mappers interested in making maps.

All I ever see is "cp_blahblah" "de_scuskballs" if people saw more "ff_superleet" they'd want to play it. People who don't play don't read these forums and so don't know about all the great maps.

I don't see how this could in any slight way be taken as a bad idea, flame bait, something negative, etc.

It is a fair comment, though. Most skill maps aren't made for their beauty.

Ya, I love conc maps.

All I'm trying to say is that if you make a map, that doesn't look like shit, you should post it at mapping forums, as it will receive great exposure amongst non-ff people.

I shouldn't have to qualify a post like this

Ok, sorry for that. Kind of personal as I have seen every concmap around (most of them anyway), some of my best online friends are concers, and some very very dedicated skills map mappers I know. Just caught my attention that you make a concmap be THE definition of a bad map. It's like saying, We are going to have a fashion show, and it's ok to show up everything, but maybe not shoes. Actually, they might appreciate some very well made skills map to judge for a change (not in the fashion show).

I really recommend a daily visit to Interlopers as you suggest to. Almost always something awsome to glance at there. If for nothing else, to pay a visit to the de_forest thread for the 1000nd time
