Introducing Billy Brown. 1.5 years old, just adopted from a foster home. Pit mix. Sweet, gentle loving pooch. Athletic as hell.

APT's are more dangerous than most other breeds if they turn feral or are raised to be aggressive. A dog's going to have certain unique personality and breed traits but a loving owner can go a long way towards creating a friendly and loving animal.

i don't discount that excpet to say, inherinently, bully breeds, if there is any internal bred-in aggression, it's toward other dogs and not people. pits do not have a predisposition toward human agressiveness than any other breed, in fact less than many. terriers and other breeds are actually more dominent in nature, and dominence is where everything starts.

but yeah, he was always in a good situation, and I tested his internal agression before we got him by taking away his toys and taking away his food while eating, and messing with his mouth... if you ever get a growl in that situation, from any breed, its a big red flag.

My female lab did that once when she was a pup.....once. She was immediately put into a down position and she learned then and there. Getting her to stop chewing garden hoses took a while longer...

I take it that's a show on dog behavior? I've never watched it. I've actually been involved in breeding, raising and training dogs since I was a child. Hunting dogs mostly but many of the training techniques are universal.

I agree with Innoc there. The very instant it starts showing aggressiveness, show it who's boss. We do that with our billies (we had one charge my little brother, it got our famous Cranial 2x4 Treatment) and dogs.

Though really it does look innocently clueless and stupid... I love it
