FF Download Torrent

Hey guys,

Been looking around to see if there were any torrents for FF for those of use who like to do it that way, and found none. I know there were some over at Legittorrents but they have gone.

So, given that I have an old beater hanging around, I slapped bittorrent on it and setup a torrent.

OLD FF VERSION:
Fortress Forever v1.11

NEW 2.0 UPDATE:
Fortress Forever 1.11 to 2.0 Patch

2.0 FULL INSTALLER:
Fortress Forever 2.0 Full Install

Click and seed my friends! Lets make it easy to download this game. I love it!

Does anyone care if we upload the torrentz to sites that do not exactly host legal content like The Pirate Bay? Granted, it's like dealing with the devil, but the devil might get us more downloads...

Add to that that being on a few public trackers might get us listed in torrentz.com, the Google of torrents. If it's cool with the devs, I will spend some precious bandwidth on seeding it for a few weeks on sites like TPB and snarf-it.

I think as long as we don't officially support any other torrents then ours being included on a not so legit site wouldn't be the worst thing ever...But ultimately that it a dev decision.

I know there were torrents when FF was initally released. I just can't find anything for them anymore. I know that someone had posted at legittorrents before so that's why I'm there. The admin tries to keep it clean and legal. I figure if we can find some decent trackers, we'd be good to go. I do agree we ought to keep away from the pirates. Yar!

Well yeah, problem is just about anyone can make a FF torrent...

Are there MD5 checksums for the installs? We need to post those so no one can spoof/virus FF.

True that. I was looking around for other trackers too, and one tried to spit a virus on me. It's going to be hard to find a decent tracker that isn't loaded with crap. ><

Eh, so much for me seeding it. The old amd-k2 that I was using is overheating and just shut off on me. Sorry guys.

I would love to update it if at all possible, but being without internet at home, I can't do anything really. If I can find a way to get that machine to cool off a little bit, mainly by finding some sdram, I'll have it back up. If anyone else actually has the full install, would you seed it please? All you need to do is create an account at legittorrents.info which is free, create a torrent, then upload the torrent to the site and leave whatever client your using on.

If not, give me a day or two. I need to do laundry and tax stuff which is done at my inlaws where my seeder machine resides.

Phatman, not a problem. I'll start a torrent etc., it's just that we'd need a number of seeders since my box isn't always running, and my upstream is quite poor. I wonder if it'd be possible for people that already have the full installer on their computer to join in by just pointing their bittorrent client to the existing file. I tried copying my full installer executable to the position the torrent was trying to write to, but instead of showing as 100% complete/seeding, it just started overwriting the file.

Well someone with a grudge against FF could simply make their own torrent for FF, and include extra files such as videos, viruses, music that could cause legal action.

I've got my torrent box back up. Me thinks some new thermal paste and putting it in another case I have will help with the overheating issue. I stopped a few of the other torrents and took off the firewall. Have at it. Link should be the same.

And for the grudge comment, I saw a mygot video that was 'in association with valve' trying to deter people from ff or else mygot members would ruin it for everyone...

Had to rebuild the torrent because of some work I did on the torrent computer. I think the link is still the same but I updated it anyways. Download and seed please!!!
