Good HL1 Mods?

I wanna play a good mod, and ive pretty much beaten most of the hl2 mods. Any good HL1 mods worth playing? (...cant wait for PARANOIA...dec 3...)

They Hunger, pretty good horror single player mod if you're into that type of thing.

I miss the older ones that disappeared a while ago like Firearms and Front Line Force. I never got to play them NEARLY enough.

NS Is awesome. I would recoment playing on NS_ servers. CO_ Maps suck.

But yeah, probably the best single player mod that I ever played on the HL1 engine. I don't know if it will work on Steam, though....I always installed it on my WON install(from the CD....yeah...I still have it!).

Sven CoOp is a fun game but I suggest playing it on lan with a friend. There are some people online that have done the maps so many times that they do all the cool stuff before you can even catch up with them. Some of them are impossible to beat alone. I remember one level that requires one player to boost another up to hit a button that opens a gate. The plus side is there are a lot of maps out there for it and the game can be enjoyed alone.

They Hunger is great but dated but still very great. It was probably my favorite non Valve mod I ever played.

There were some really great single player mods on the Gunman Chronicles CD and on the Counter-Strike retail cd but they all disappeared.

NS was one of my favorite mods for HL, along with DoD and TFC. I just love the teamplay of it if you got on a good server.

I think They Hunger has a sequel in the works using the source engine. Imagine Ravenholm as a whole game

Ditto, the golden age of HL modding was in 2000. There was some neat stuff then (before the bastardization-of-everything-phase-of-2002) including Wizard Wars, Blood For Honor (remember that?), Battle of the Millenium (stupid but lan fun), Buzzy Bots and Scientist Hunt.

Nowadays the last 'good' hl mod i have played was Jaykin Bacon Source.

Screw Combat, I think that what pretty much detracted and eventually brought down NS's popularity. It certainly killed it for me.
