Problems with the displacement editor

Yeah, so, I'm trying to make a map, key word being trying! But every time I go into the displacement editor, instead of being able to click where I want to rise/lower it just does it when I mouse over it, I have no idea what's causing this and would love if somebody could shed some light on what's happening

how many units are you tring to rise at once ? i say its probably low and you need to add more

Wuh? Its not the units, the problem is it raises automatically, when I mouse over part of the displacement when previously I had to click to raise it. (Like I want it to be now.)

. Been like this for several days, its mainly the reason I halted my crappy map :P. Surely somebody must have experienced the same problem and have some sort of temp solution?

actually i have had that problem, i cant atm remember what does it, im at work so i cant look at the the displacement tool, afaik i restarted steam and it didn't do it anymore... -edit its suppose to only rise incremental when you click and hold the mouse button down -edit2 and move the mouse at the same time

Yeah I have had this, I tried a few things and it stopped:
I tried left clicking on the displacement while it was going crazy
I tried clicking inside the 2D views

I cant remember but one of those worked, if not then I can take a look at if you want and ill see if i can get it to work.

I am almost certain it is something I am doin' maybe there's a toggle for it? I'm not sure, but it seems to be doing it constantly, no matter what I do, I also know its not the map, as I stated earlier

. Keep throwing suggestions at me lads, it'll work eventually.

just left click and right click(in 3d) until it stops the ctrl+z to undo what it done then continue mapping. no need to restart. its a glitch i get often.

sorry wish i could be more helpful, hopefully they will address this issue.
