Their public servers are not the point. They helped to keep the development side of FF alive/running smoothly for years. That deserves gratitude no matter what.

The servers are the point though. Even though they did some good with regards to the development side of FF, some people feel the bad they did far outweighed the good and that bad had a lot to do with how they run their servers.

They gave hosting to FF for many years,while their public server rules were a bit on the side of 'really?', they still get a thank you from me. They have spent a good amount of money helping out.
