The server is going to be private btw. That's the intention. And it's not game type really. It's more like match type. so when people in IRC want to start a 2v2, they goto the server, and click on the Match type: 2v2, which then gives them a list of maps that best fit that catagory. It was just an idea though.

Oh I'm paying attention. Chaunbot has committed to helping them, they don't need anything from me.

The system doesnt match CTF with AVD, it matches AVD vs AVD.

Yeah, not really sure what Ze's talking about. You chose a game type, then maps from that type are displayed. Maybe he's describing regular map vote plugins other then the [o-t] one. I also think he's a bit wrong on gamestyle vs map preferences... Considering our map stats I think it's fairly clear that people do have a gamestyle preference, and CTF is it, not AVD. http://forums.oldtimersclan.com/scuzstats_mainpage.php We use the exact same plugin in the TF2 servers. There's clearly an unbalance of some sort, TF2 is fairly evened out in choice. Question is why don't people care for FF's other flavors of maps. Scuzzy

map structure and confusion maybe... CTF is clearly structured and designed for play styles. Currently, the AvD maps are more 'realistic', with buildings thrown in and obstacles simply "in your way". Although they are frequently more "interesting" maps in my opinion.
I'm not directing this at anything.. purely a thought.
