FortressPimp Stocking up on Inventory!

Hey All,

So as TFC fades off into the distance, and we all turn back for one last time on the weekend of August 28th, I'd like to get a fresh stock of inventory on our community site.

I will pay 20 cents per TFC upload.

Starting August 6th until August 31st, users who submit a minimum of 25 uploads will receive compensation via PayPal.

Uploads can be up to 20MB in size.

If you wish to upload TFC AVIs, or uploads greater than 20MB, please contact me via pm and I will arrange an FTP link for you to upload. Uploads greater than 20MB will be paid out at 50 cents per upload.

This is an effort to boost traffic to the site, and retain a life-long archive of TFC history.
I have also continued the league development portion of the site. Numerous bugs have been fixed in the last couple of days. The league may never see full TFC action, but it will be targeted to the fortress games of the future.

Please note all uploads must contain valid screenshots.

Maps
Weapon / Buildable Models
Flares
Sprites

p.s. I know this is an FF forum, but we all derived from the same great game, TFC!

FF Uploads are also encouraged

abs i could upload some ff maps for you if you'd like but they are mostly all over 20mbs

Yea, TF2 maps are the same...

if you can .rar them and use extra compression to drop them to 20mb or below, that'd be great.

I'll send you a pm with FTP info for files larger than 20MB.

The most popular ones I know of are Make me BAD(my personal favorite), Last Dinosaur, Vertical Impact and the fucking rizzo video that everyone and their mother has seen hah.

I'll try to upload some of my models for FF as well.

Edit, if you want a suggestion as far as media is concerned, I would say that in order to get people to watch videos on your site you need to allow multiple choices as far as direct downloads/mirrors/streaming is concerned.

Double Edit, is there a way to allow .7z extension for file uploads? It's faster and compresses better and honestly is more popular than regular zip files these days.

Triple edit, zip files are not allowing me to upload to the site. It says the file type must be in .jpg format, even though I selected 'file' and not 'image'.

jpg, jpeg & gif are allowed for images.

rar and zip for 'files'...

Also, I'm re-doing the upload script in Perl. This will remove the 20MB limit, and also add ap rogress abr for uploads. I hope this will increase the number of TF2 and FF maps hosted, as well as the number of AVIs hosted.

I wasn't. I was using the zip file I sent you. Also, the zip file was only 61kb so it was definitely below the limit.
