I found some mention of the game pulling in $250k or so a week, or day depending, so I wonder if he updates slowly and keeps the project small to milk it for all of its worth.

Me too. You can check the stats on his website and it tells exactly how many sales he's made and how many people use the software. I calculated he's made about 3.2 million at $14 per copy.

I just got hooked on it tonight...
Multiplayer is a little buggy and limited (Many "smart" items doesn't work and there are no enemies), but with a community it's a load of fun. I set up a private server for me and 2 friends and we were also talking on mumble... We explored quite a lot...

Yah, I did the same for the free "weekend". I'll buy it eventually but I kind of like the danger factor in single player survival. I hope he makes a full port of it to MP, not like he doesn't have the money to keep from working a regular job now. lol

When they update it, I'll do a cartopic of my SMP world. I saved it and ported it to my SP game and added Mo'Monster's mod. Now there's shit that will really kick your ass out there, like castle eating ogres and werewolves.
