Um, hi. I'm a relatively experienced mapper, but never mapped for FF before. Decided to do so, and to try some things out (mainly learning how to use the FF entities), resulting in this simple Capture The Flag map (still a work in progress). It's nothing special, really, but if you want to check it out, you can download it here: -Download Link-

Many thanks! For the next version I plan on adding more detail to the flag room and the midfield, as well as fixing the spawn turrets (they can't hit ya if you stand right beneath them- maybe make a hole in the wall between the spawns and the lower corridor and put it there to give it a better angle to shoot would-be spawncampers?

Depends how you want it to look. That's all normal func_brush (non-solid with appropriate texture) or beam entities.

As far as killing someone goes its a trigger_ff_script and a little bit of LUA which you can copy from existing maps

If you haven't noticed we provide vmfs for some of our maps for reference in the source folder within the FF directory (SourceMods\FortressForever\source\maps). We try to ensure they're kept up to date.

ff_monkey.vmf has the trigger_ff_script named redslayer/blueslayer then you can open the lua file and copy the code it uses (just look for redslayer/blueslayer)

anything else, just ask I'll help when I can, if I don't reply it's usually cause I don't know or someone else is better at explaining than I!
