The swimming pool texture kind of reminded me of it, plus I knew you made it. Don't remember making that post though ://.

I would love to see hybrid maps, like normal maps with surf elements (like rooftops) that can be used to get a speed advantage in some spots. Really taking the movement control to a new lvl. Bhop in some spots, Surf in others, etc.

In my map ive included several ramp type surfaces in places they where they can be used to an attackers advantage. Ie, I have some fairly narrow caves which will be hard to push through, but if you get a nice conc in you can hit a jutting out piece of rock which is angled to another, and then up to a ledge which has a tactical advantage.

Kinda like in schtop, theres a lot of surfaces - especially in the mid map - which can almost double your concing distance if you hit it right.

That would be a great idea. You go really fast on slopes, and you could use them to conc off or on to. It would definitely add a lot more movement skill to the game.

Surfing started in CS. Not source.

It's alot better in normal CS.

Source can be alot more fun because you can get alot more speed and air with 100tick. Source also allows bigger and more complex surf maps.

I prefer surfing in 1.6 over CS:S. The movement is better. Air strafing is easier for me in 1.6 too.

snowsk337 (and to a lesser extent l337sk337) are the true CS maps for l337 aircontroll (or "412c0n72011"). Try landing on one of the ladders on the back of the house in l337sk337.

P.S. FFS I'm glad someone finally explained what surf maps are. I was getting really curious.
