Should Bunny Hop stay or leave FF? - Page 3

In TFC Bunny Hopping is much mo funking fun. Once you can do it well it's like a passion and you strive to be better and faster.

It's a skill that's easily lost and you need to be wired and focused to do it well, if not you mess the rhythm up

or struggle even get a rhythm like me most times.

As it's been said most people are against it because they cannot do it... but in truth wish they could. An example of these people are the [O-T] "clan"/server which is an anti-bhop server. I followed a friend to that server (wouldn't even think about playing on there normally and I don't go on servers out side Europe anyway).. he left after after a few mins so it was just me and two [O-T] chaps..

There was an [O-T] player as hw jumping in a straight line through my base....now hold on, bunny hopping isn't acceptable but a FAILED attempt at gaining speed (which is none btw) (bhop mimic) is alright.

I had to tell myself to stop bshopping because it's very natural especially because it's the only game I play. I must have only done a few hops that I as aware of on the balcony on 2fort and was banned.

Fair do's, rules are rules. I wasn't intentionally trying to break them and take the mic I might add.

but I feel different that the voting has just started with 470 current active members and only 40+ have voted so far.

The tables could still turn and quite possibly a revote could be called since Al Gore just called and he is mad.

This poll only shows the opinion of the community, and not the other ~300 ppl who left FF.

BHop in FF does not make you much faster. There is absolutely no advantage to BHopping in this game and if you would spend the 4 minutes sitting down and trying to learn it, you would realize this. Further, if you want a game that has no movement skills then go play TF2. It's got the basics with the scout having a double jump.

UT3
Crysis

I have followed in your proposal and I have been guaranteed by the currently active members that they are all coming over to vote. It will be nice to see what everyones 2 cents will create. Now bunnyhopping is in $%#$%^& Wikipedia under training in the FF wikipedia listing and the Yellow Brotherhood could not get and keep a Wikipedia page for us. I stand to say FU Wikipedia and I hope when the US is not busy I hope the government launches a Cyber attack on your sorry ass. Free colaboration of information my ass. So, I'll keep checking back every year or so to see if it's added. If so, I'll fire-up a server, if not oh well - I guess for the limited FF community there are already plenty of servers anyway.

No flaming here.... I wouldn't mind seeing a variable available for server owners to set, provided that the cvar be noted in the server title(or somewhere obvious, anyway). Such as " Full Bhop Enabled", "Partial Bhop Enabled", and/or "Bhop Disabled". You know, something to indicate to players an indication of the servers "rules".
