Weird...did you purposely brighten the dark places and darken the bright places in the original avanti?

Maybe someone suggested it and I didn't catch it. Otherwise, looking good.

notice the circles areas? using your texture applicator select all surfaces on that part of the building that use that same texture and check the box "treat as one" then push apply. the entire bottom half of the building should all match up properly!

I think its looking great for not sticking to the original sunny, spanish type theme. Layout is keeping with original, hopefully a new route or two will be added, but keep going it looks like it will be fun.

What are you talking about sunny?? Avanti is a night map and that is the sky for it. Go and check again

I'll check those textures out obviously it's not even close to quite done, but most of the major brush work is getting there.

Very little of the ACTUAL layout will change, the game play on avanti is fantastic, the church is changing quite a bit to look like a roman basilica type theme mostly. The detpack area will change some, as will the sniper tower, but it will still maintain it's strategic placement as in the original.

Just make sure if I fire a few rockets be it IC rockets or RPG rockets that a Sniper will feel it if he is sniping out of the tower.

Yeah soundman I love the orignial layout of avanti. I personally just was hoping thet FF maps wouldnt be just TFC:Source. I love new textures, just was hoping it would offer new gameplay with subtle changes like an old route closed or partially blocked and a new route open etc. Not entire new map of Avanti, then it wouldnt be Avanti lol.
Love what youve done so far.
Original Avanti is at night? Man Ive been away from TFC too long, I remember it as a normal map lol. Some Hostile Intent maps you need to use Night Vision, now thats dark.

If you look at the sky in avanti, it is set at night time, the map doesn't look like it since it's not really lit appropriately, but look at these original screenies from the map. That is a night time sky if I've ever seen one. The below is just a quick google of avanti screenshots, there are about 10 there. Scroll down to the avanti section.

Layout around the church is going to change somewhat, as the church is much larger, so I'm having to incorporate that into some different game play. I love how the inside of the church is coming, just needs work on the outside right now.

Can anyone model very well around here? I need some pews.

addings concs to avanti would change virtually nothing.

that's assuming you'd even run a medic/scout to take advantage of them. gren jump accomplishes the same thing, but as a better class for the job

Well just an update on avanti, been making some slow progress as it's been very busy, but the majority of brush work is finished as is the primary layout. Very similar to the original with some subtle changes. We are working on some textures as well as some of the models for it. The church is coming along splendorific, and beginning to really take form. I'll post some other screenies later, as KeG and I are doing a run around on it here in the next week or so.

Make more places to hide. When I was playing it with spy last time I didnt have no place to hide when I was spotted.

But as soon as I spawned I dressed as red solly and then I was like I would be guarding the church and then after a while I went inside the church to protect it, and then I attacked and they all were like WTF :P Hahaha
