i'm still searching good textures, 1024*1024 for the rocks (reduce repeating textures ) 256*256 for the sand (repeatable becouse of the useage of details and alpha) |

Sorry do be so picky on the bridge, was having a bad day Good work so far keep it up.
Also I dont know if this has been said, but the top of cliffs should not be dead flat/straight. As the saying goes, nothing in nature straight, or something :E |

uhu, nothing is straight thas why i'm going to create a 3d skybox. but the rocks are far from finished in the central part you could see the bride from inside the sniper tower, this is not possible at the moment ... |

Hmm... you say it's sand? I thought it was snow.
Browns, tans, a speckle of black and white will make you sand. I should know, I live by beaches! :P |

You are right, it's hard to turn maps to source.
It would be easier to say if I could actully play it. Edit: I got it! Now I know what I think is wrong with it. Pretty much all reason why middle parts of eart go deserted is that sun shines from above and there aint much shadows. You should put the sun more above and give the place more light and less shadow. After that it's better |

but i've found some q3 textures for this type of rocks here are some screens: the sun a little higher and the new rocks (damd, need to compile first, this version is pitch black due a problem with the skybox) |

those last few shots look a million times better. my only suggestion would be to make the sun angle a bit steeper (its a desert remember )
