Baseball
So, I'm in my Final Months at Full Sail and today I had to pitch my idea to 15 Teachers and 10 Students, ugh. Quick story it was fucking shit.
MY idea was to have a baseball blogging site, which allowed users to sign up, select their favorite team, or just be a generic baseball blogging site. To top it off, I was using Yahoo! Sports API, to allow each user to quickly compare stats of players, discuss it in their posts. Yahoo uses YQL (Yahoo's Query Language), which require simple query statements. My idea was to eliminate them, and code into the site an easier way to access this information, instead of having to write out each statement, each time you want to pull back information. No one understand it, but the sport fans, none of the teachers. So, i'm pretty much on the last line of, I have to figure a way to explain it to them by Monday. Where you fuckers come in, I know not everyone watches baseball, but what I am trying to figure out is : Is the pitch unclear? what can I do to change it to make it better. (I'll be making a slide show, along with wireframes to explain it in more depth as well) For those Baseball fans, what else would you like to see?

The main goal is to have a baseball blog site (user driven content) that's easy to use, quickly be able to get stats on each player and team. Without the hassle of looking everything up.

Research some of the more popular baseball blogs out there, and look what they're doing wrong. Read comments on their blogs and look for people complaining. You can usually pull people to your idea when you beat the competition in both form and function. I'm not sure how your class is structured, so I dunno how much of a role marketing has, but if they aren't connecting with your idea, just throw a bunch of shit about them about how superior your marketing strategy is, and maybe they'll be more open to it. It's hard explaining shit to people who don't have common interests with you. I'm curious, is this just like a roleplay scenario, or are you actually going to put it into application?

Fixed that for ya.
I really can't help, Ricey... I wish I could, but from what you told me in chat the other day, it sounds like this dipshits not only don't like baseball, but probably don't know how to even use the internet.

Well, I sorta have to scrap the idea, I don't have the ability to do it(AKA MLB are nazis and won't let me access their XMLs they use for gameday!); change the idea up a bit too.

If they are Nazi's.... maybe you could sue them for "anti-semitism"?
