New Graphic card, now Pyro Fire effect does not display
Just like the title says, I just got a new graphics card ( Nvidia 9500GT ) as the one I had decided to fry for who-knows-why. Everything works great, capable of playing on the highest resolution+settings with no problem.
Just one major issue that's really hurting me: Fire effects don't display! The fire from the Inc grenade displays, but the fire effect of the models being on fire does not. I tried about 30 different configurations ( model detail, reflection, Res, ect ) and no matter what I do I get no fire effect. Any help or ideas ? This is absurd! Is this some kind of uber rare card specific bug? Am I basically F***ed? FYI Particle effects work fine in all other games. The only problem with this card is the fire effect in FF. Fire effect works in TF2, particle effects work fine in UT3. Even crysis runs fine. So what gives? |

The map ff_crossover2 is known to not show flames on players, so maybe that was the issue?

Could be, but random stuff happens sometimes depending on what driver/card you use. With my last ati card I gave up on updating the drivers, worked fine out the box and the updates always gave me problems. Smoke effects in cs would send my fps down to 10-20 for example, but were normal when I used the original drivers. Although I should add this card was a cheapo, nowhere near the 9500.
