2.1 first impressions

The HW is awesome thanks for making him the way he should be. Anyone that has ever fired a real mini knows they don't over heat near as much as a single barrel weapon does. In addition they are accurate as hell. Not that this game is based on realism. The Engy is better as well. A lot of people that complain about the way the HW and engy are uber now are doing so premature I think. Because either they don't have the game skills to get past them or don't understand how the game needs team based applications to overcome heavier adversaries.

Many are complaining about the lag on 2fort and the new maps. I for one don't have any lag video or net based of any kind. The people who I have talked to in game that have the lagg are usually in SLI with 2 8800gt's. I'm not saying it's limited to SLI but the majority I have talked to are either running an SLI rig or a Nvidia mobo chipset.

My rig is
DFI lanparty 790fx DK
4 gigs corsair XMS2 extreme
AMD 6400+ (3.2ghz)
Nvidia 7800gt (soon to be ATI 4870)
350gig WD sata2.

I have all the eye candy turned to high AA is set to 4X anosotropic is set to 8X and HDR is set to full with 1280X1024 res. However I am running only in DX9.0c and windowsXP home sp3. Not sure if this helps anyone (probably not)

Other than that I think the 2.1 update is a very nice improvement. Kudos to all the Dev's and the testers.

Activity on the servers is getting more and more now that the game is in the Steam store section for steam downloads. I think we are going to find more and more switching from TF2 to FF. Many That are playing now never played TFC only TF2 and their response to the game has been very good.
I know our server (GCC) (the gas chamber) has been pretty full the last few days when it has remained empty in the past.

First thing I noticed is BETTER FPS! Yay no more lagfest on aarkvard and other big maps.
I really like some of new maps, 2fort and anticitizen are pretty cool.
Havent tested HW yet but seems like they actually are more useful now. Snipers... oh my, I so hate them :G

it's pretty hard to do so when they are intentionally pushing you off map, with their soldier rockets pushing you off a map, killing you. Scuzzy dropped the ol' ban-hammer on someone who was doing that this morning. If someone is bothering you in game(legit griefing here... not just calling you a wussy)... record a demo(either in game, or with WeGame), get the asshole's steam ID(type "status" in console) and report the shitbag.

I played it a few hours or something today and i played 2fort it was really fun !
Nextmap was Cornfield that was fun too.. the update in the map is really great it was just fun.

I think the dev team has done great work this update is awesome!
