I wake up, new version of Firefox installed itself or someshit and - all of my bookmarks and settings are gone. Fucking gone! What the FUCK man. This is the kinda shit that's supposed to happen with IE, not FireFox. ):<

Happened to me a few days a go. Not sure if it just fooked up or if was caused by an updated. It never said it had.
Checked my profile, like suggested but couldn't be bothered trying to find out what had gone wrong. I had a back up with pretty much everything I want so just restroed that.

To get all youyr saved bookmarks back, first delete all the random new install shit you don't want, then enable hidden files/folders on your PC. After you've done this, goto your documents and settings folder, find Firefox, and there will be a backup folder that's hidden that contains all your bookmarks for the past week or so. Just open that, rename it to bookmarks.html and replace with the other one. Or just import that file in the Organize bookmarks option in firefox.
Same thing happened to me and I bout went ape shit. So many pr0n links gone. it was a sad day, but i was bound and determined to get my favs back.

I still did lose my addon settings (no biggie except for stuff like NoScript, so now I have to re-approve every site I visit - ditto for Adblock), but I have my bookmarks back. I stopped running betas of Firefox after I tried it once. Firefox has a problem if I try to install both a beta and the current final version. (One installs over the other). I like my addons too much to be screwing around with a beta version.
