Hello

When i played TFC I always used HLSW (www.hlsw.de)
now i want to use it and it works, But when i connect then i get a message ongamerulescreationstring and then HL2 freezes.

This is the parameters i used: steam.exe -gameidlaunch 14814069393423597783 -game "D:\games\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\FortressForev er\" +connect <CONNECTADDRPORT>

i get this error:



dous anyone here know how i can fix this

its a bad install i had that when i 1st installed FF and alot of other ppl too there is a thread about here somewhere. But all you have to do is reinstall FF should fix it.

but everyting works fine, HLSW startup FF now and sends a IP and then connect but if he is almost in it he freezes and i get that. With steam everything works fine. But ill reinstall it then.

unless you edited HLSW it will not work with FF maybe this is the error ? dont use HLSW to connect see if you can play

I have yet to get HLSW to connect to a server and load FF. I can't even get FF to load. HL2 freezes and then crashes.

I was wondering if maybe a dev can get them to support FF? I've used HLSW for years.

green there is a post here somewhere with a line you have to edit to make HLSW work with FF im talking to conect to a server with it.
Greenday:HLSW is a program used to monitor your server's it lets you control mapchange,kick,ban, and use console like to password you server etc.

HLSW should work fine with FF if you use the latest (beta) version.
I have been told HLSW v1.2.0.2 does the trick nicely.

I tested the beta version and it works fine now, He connect now and does the irc announce where i'm going to play and what ip its very nice thanks Mad_Clog

HLSW is just a connect program where you can put Game server ip's in and then connect to it. It works really great.
