Conc-jumping sideffects
OK, so I was playing this lovely mod (which rawks!) and then I notice a Scout "blasting off" and said "damn! nade-jumping!"(yeah I said this out loud... @_@)
So I gave it a try,and a few hours I had mastered the ground conc-jump (and really close to perfecting my HH too!) the only problem is (please don't laugh) after I stop playing, my head (eyesight rather) still shakes like if I were under the conc effect! IN REAL LIFE!!! (writing this is giving me hell!) Is this normal? (No, I know its not...) Has something like this happened to you? Is my head just gonna explode??? Anyways, The "secret reason" behind this post is mainly to introduce myself to the Fortress Community (old and new) and to give a big thanks to the devs for this terrific game/mod (yeah, its so good it could be a full game) * The conc stuff I said IS really happening to me, I exagerated a bit on my post but its true xD |

Sh-.. shroomers?
A friend of mine gets the same thing after playing Guitar Hero. Doesn't even affect me anymore, if it ever did. Oh, and welcome.

I get a similar effect from GH too... wierded the crap out of me.
http://www.student.itn.liu.se/~rakgo...g/pinwheel.gif Look at that for 30 seconds, in the very center, then look at your hand. Don't blink while looking at it.

It's a bit like going to light speed once you look at something else. Erk.

Happened to me on GH because I was standing too close to the tv, no problems here though, maybe back up from the monitor a bit so you have more 'still' items around you?

When I'm watching everything wobble under the conc effect, it sorta makes me a little nausious... guess that counts. When I'm not paying much attention to it though, I'm fine.

I honestly dislike the effect of the grenade... I have something familiar like you, but I starting feeling dizzy when looking at the "effect" for tool long. Once, or twice is not bad. But having the effect quite a lot of times does have side-effects on me. Even not that bad, it makes me dizzy. Hence, I dislike the effect. If it won't be removed, I at least going to request a plugin to disable the grenade and or the side effect.

I don't know is it a bug. But for me, all graphs lowest, reso 800x600, only character models high. When I do for example HH at aardvark yard, after conc the "transparent" picture of last moment(frame?) before conc freezes to my screen and it disappears when I hit the ground again.

That's because you're traveling over a certain velocity. It's a shader effect and it's annoying as fuck. Please bitch about it and make us remove it! haha.. :[

It just needs to be kept to the outer edges of the screen, basically. It should never freeze your view and make it impossible to see..
