I turned off the file consistency so the models thing shouldnt happen again. As for the maps there download directly through the steam update tool from valve... FYI you shouldnt have any of the base maps in your tfc/maps folder they are included in your tfc.GCF if you put the basic maps in that folder they will not be updated during a steam update and you will be stuck with the out of date versions which will sometimes cause that map error.

ya ok well I got good news and bad news. Good news is the servers fine. Bad news is someone didnt install the RAID Array very well. As result almost every file gets corrupted when it is mirrored to the array. I'm going to save the server and help my cousin install the RAID array this time. The server should be back by the end of the week hopefully without any more problems.

Umm... I am a little hazy on what mod this server is doing. Is it CS:S? Or is it the long-coveted FF? If so... where do I download FF? ... I am a little confusticated (confused)

i was just asking, you can never know. (what are the box specs ?)
anyway, pretty cool . now we need to get Defrag & Co some truckloads of raw caffeine so they won't lose any more time sleeping instead of getting FF done ! |

Maybe registered ram is different, but isn't 266Mhz memory a bit slow for a machine with two 2.66Ghz processors?

Memory speed isnt much a concern for servers. Capacity is what matters.
