what the fuck would you do with 16gb RAM?
64bit (athlon and dual core) processors only take up to 8.
Normal (32bit) processors only take up to 4.

16 are for quad core processors I believe

i have 2GB atm, but i already intend to buy 2GB more when the price is right.

Speaking of RAM and Asus, I recall their motherboards being incredibly bitchy about RAM compatibility. Had some guy at MicroCenter who bought the best Asus board, and premium Corsair RAM... and it wouldn't work with the RAM lol.

Never had that problem myself, thank goodness. I like my A-Bit.

They aren't any pickier than anyone else's board. Typically, it's caused by a loose connection between the seat and the keyboard.

How about you give a little effort to try and comprehend my post? I would not consider buying something from the U.K. for two reasons:
1) shipping delay
2) forcing Mervaka to make less profit since he has to put more money on the shipping
I buy computer parts all the time to build some rigs and sell them.

I don't think a quad core can access more memory than a dual or single core, because that would only be possible if the cores were mapped to different memory parts, basically separated from each other.

32 bit : 2^32 Byte = 4 294 967 296 Byte = 4 GB
64 bit : 2^64 Byte = 18 446 744 073 709 551 616 Byte = 16 EB (exabytes)
