If it was put into an open beta, there would be a flood of "omg, AR suX!" We know it sucks, its being worked on. Same with several other things that are blatantly obvious but are just low priorities.
I'm with you guys, I can't wait to get this thing out and have servers full all across the globe, but its still not ready yet. |

TF2 can go right to hell, imo.
I've been watching FF progress for the better part of a year and a half, and I'm happy waiting for it. I really think it'll blow the crap out of anything valve is working on. I was extremely disapointed with EP1 (way too damn short), and I don't have any high expectations for EP2, so I couldn't really care less about that delay either. I have high hopes for FF... I just wanna play it already, waiting sucks. |

Once again consoles stab us PC gamers in the back. The only reason for this delay is the bloody console ports. The games are done and ready but EA and of course Valve wants maximum revenue by porting them. So here we are stuck with a whole year or at least three quarters waiting time.

HL2 while is feels fairly new, is actually 3 years old this april i beleive. i think its time for them to start thinking about HL3 instead of this BS Star wars ripoff. i hope SW sues valve for taking a trademark. the SW: EP series's was practicly exclusive. who the hell does gabe think he is?
in summary i hate valve. |

DON'T MENTION HL3. The FF team will be all like "oh hey let's just make it for the Source 2 engine instead when HL3 comes out blah blah" and I'll have to kill someone. |

This isn't good news, FF is just going to be pushed back as well. The devs strategy has become blatantly obvious ever since the "December" release, you know, when TF2 was still coming out in a reasonable amount of time. They're pushing to release before (I suspect about a month before.) TF2 comes out, whenever that may be. While I understand the want to get a solid player base going before TF2 comes out, this is quite ridiculous and obviously shows a lack of care about the community you already have.
This post is obviously going to take some flak but I've been thinking this ever since the mod team's claim that they were shooting for a December release and then coincidently came no where near it after TF2 was delayed. |

Well, using TF2's delay as a reason to slack off on production of FF would mean that there was no intention of releasing before the end of this year. If you've ever watched Valve's release cycle, then you'll know that it would be a miracle for Ep2 to be released before the holidays, when they'll make a killing. So, I guess I'll tell the Dev's to stop working until mid-summer just to prove you right!
