I conc frequently and it is pretty much all I do these days, and I am slowly becoming bored of that, too. I am slowly becoming more bored the more I play TFC--CTF is shite, concing is becoming boring, general skills maps are becoming boring. I guess Q3 CPMA has consumed me once again.

The reason your timing is "off" is because the scout is faster, rather than (as you do with the medic) dropping the conc at a lesser angle when travelling forwards, you need to raise the crosshair higher up and drop the conc sooner--it is all about the speed differences that produce the different timing sets for the medic and scout.

concing is gettin easier because apperently u dont know how to hand held conc. When you can hh conc the places you can conc is almost infinite so its fun to mess around. Learn that and TFC will open up just a little bit more for you.

Player very well could know what HH was but i didnt want him to completly abandon this game if he didnt know one of the main skills of concing. If you know how to HH and still think its boring then i dont know what to tell ya.

I do more enjoyable and complex things than hhing with and without concs, so..."I don't know what to tell ya."

For your information: I am getting bored of the minimal community. Hardly anyone I come across wishes to play for fun; everything is serious..."Oh fo offy HW!", "Def medic? n1 idiot...", "Urgh, backtracking fucker!" and general clan-player comments when they join a pub server... After all, clan players are in abundace whereas pub players are smaller in quantity. I still play and I highly doubt I will stop playing TFC--I am growing tired of the community, that is all.

you would have noticed a scout go's faster with a hh conc then a medic

A soldier goes ALOT faster with a grenade jump compared to HW

Because HWs don't get pushed far by explosions. IT'S IN HIS CLASS DESCRIPTION, FOR GOD'S SAKE. PAY ATTENTION.

Scouts go faster with the HH 'cuz they go faster with everything.

Done some testing down 2fort lift shaft. Number on the left is damage done when falling - right hand side original(max) health.

scout 7/75
engy 14/80
medic 14/90
sniper 14/90
demo 14/90
spy 14/90
soldier 14/100
hwguy 22/100

It would appear that the scout is indeed lighter than the medic. This wont make any difference when concing (which is the same for ALL classes regardless) but I assume that he will fly higher due to explosions? Or maybe he's just got a good landing technique (like the spy has in FF ).

Nah, the HWGuy really is less jumpy. You can conc up 2forts lift as any class... but not the HW.
(I didn't try it, but I'm probably right there... Like circ pointed out the HWGuy really has had the "not blown around by explosions that much" phrase in his class description ever since TF)

Load up Hunted with a friend and get one of you to go HWguy and stand on the edge of the ramp (the one at the same angle as the grass) next to the main slope from spawn.

Drop a conc below him. Sit back and enjoy.

If you cba to do that then - the Hwguy flies as high as any other class and makes it to the top of the roof with room to spare (depending where you place the conc).


A grenade is a whole different matter.
