It has a LOT of water cooling. Seriously he can get like 120 horsepower out of just the water cooler alone.

Also, WTF you guys were serious? Mervs actually in the beta? I was laughing my ass off at everyone believing his (and others) BSing. Lol. Well that's news then.

lol, you have the new conroe processor, holy crap, hehe, man top of the line pc bro 20,000 rpm total hd access, LOL, only problem I see is ONE graphics card?

I'd have to do dual or even TRIPLE gfx cards, but love everything else ( I have 2 dual head gfx cards right now in my ancient p4 3.2 ghz w/ht pc, reason being I have 3x 19" monitors, HEHE I want to get 2 more and a new pc with 3 dual head graphics cards to handle it, lol, what kind of expense am I looking at to build a similar pc to yours but with 3 dual head graphics cards?

Peace!~

Thanks ~

Wha?

Civility from johnnyc?

A conroe e6600 costs ~$380 CDN, 2 GB of pc6400 is ~$350, a 2xPCI-E mobo runs no less than $300 (and 90% of the 965 dual-core/quad-core ones have two PCI-E slots, but only one is 16x, while the other is 4x, hence, they wont run SLI unless, like in my case, you have a 7950 GX2, which is mock-SLI anyhow), and you need a PSU with at least 2x12v and a 24-pin.

yeah... at the time of purchase, no conroe compatible mobos supported SLI, else I would have definitely got one, for a future upgrade.

Exactly...in fact, the only Conroe-compatible mobo I've seen so far that supports dual PCI-E x16 is the eVGA 680i

doesn't sound too bad, I think I'd want 16x PCIe's and at least 3-4 of them for upgradability, especially since I really MUST have 3 graphics card minimum for 5x 19" lcd's, lol..... I wonder if HL2 and FF can support 5 screen resolution, lol, I'd have what, almost 360 degree vision ? lol........ dude that'd be insane....

Err no.

The new SLI mobo's have 3 16x PCI-E slots but you can only use two for GPU's, the third is designed for a PPU and only has half the speed/fill-rate/bandwidth/whatever.

So the best you could do is 2x 7950GX2's so thats roughly 4 video cards, or two 8800GTX's. Either way thats a hell of a lot of money and beyond 3 monitors source gets dodgy, the peripheral vision becomes distortec and stretched. Theres a picture floating around in CSS with 3 screens, its more of an e-penis boost rather than usefulness.

I have my 19" widescreen and my 17" for XSI and its much easier than just one. May sell the 17" and get another 19" for 2880*900 resolution.

prepare to be disappointed for a few months yet then. i dont think current PCIe boards have the internal bandwidth to cope with three 16x slots just yet.. lol

EDIT: GL just proved me wrong :/

I don't even see how that is fair. How is that not cheating (when you can see 200% more of the field than others) but a wallhack is cheating? Both are giving a player an unfair advantage that one without the technology can't enjoy.
