What about playing TF this way

You know what I'm wondering over and over again when I'm thinking about when playing TFC. Have the designers never had the intention of making it a one class limit of every class. I think they left it out because of that too many players would want to play the same class bringing problems and flames to servers...

But what I'm also asking myself would it had a chance in more "pro" play, you know clan matches. I think it would be played more tactic than ever. Clans would really need to come up with other set ups and stuff. Think of a game 2fort: you play what defence? Sollie, HW, Engineer, but with what fourth class do you go? Are you going demo or pyro? In off are you going for a spy with the leftover heavy or are you going for both the demo and the pyro and you put a sniper in def?

Don't know if you guys find this an interesting idea, but it makes me giggle all the time when looking at maps and try to find out where to place which class.

This is like playing a "highlander" style game of tf.
9v9 with class limit 1.

I think a more interesting goal is to make the classes balanced enough that this happens naturally anyways.

By your post I'm guessing you have never played in a clan match.. Offy fatty? and sniper defence?

Hell yeah, spy def is great, just probably not in most clan matches... But you never know, it gets downright hectic in some games.

I enjoyed Highlander matches, but too many people never got to play their favorite class and bitched incessantly.

I've only played highlander matches against fellow finnish clans because every other country's clans are full of squares!
