I don't think I rever got hte hang of WASD, so I just use arrows and cramp my hands really close to the mouse.

Movement:
D= straf left
F= straf right
Right mouse button= Forward
C= run backwards
X= crouch

Weap etc.:
left mouse= fire
A= alt fire
E= use
Space= jump


those are the basic. Before mouse scrolls I would use a 3 button mouse and use the center button as forward and the rt button as backwards with the left click as fire. For whatever game im playing I customize to that. Ever since the scroll, its been hard for me to find a good mouse to deal with. because for several years i played without a scroll mouse. hence the funky setup.

Hi, am new to this forum so don't conc me.

Now, I personally use arrows, because my gameplay is all about speed.

I play scout 100%, and so I've never needed all the keys.

I start off with cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate set to 100.

Then I add in a couple of scripts such as:

alias +ducky "+duck;wait;-duck;wait"
alias -ducky "+duck;wait;-duck;wait"

bind shift +ducky

Gives a good slide on landing, plus is great when hitting ramps or anything on an angle, with great results. High cmdrate ensures great results.

Then I proceed with:

bind mouse2 +gren1
bind mouse4 primetwo

Basically, mouse4 primes a conc without holding, and if I tap mouse2, it chucks the conc. Plus mouse2 = grens.

bind mwheeldown +jump

I use the end key to switch between shotgun and peeshooter. And most my classes are setup to only switch between 2 weapons.

The thing is, there's nothing complex about being a scout, but I guess defence is a different story. But using wasd only makes things harder for a scout. Simplied setups are better for raw speed.

Yes, I went out, and created a program which did the bhop timing for you. It wasn't designed for leagues, it was simply for use on pub servers to avoid the pain involved with constant mwheeldown usage. I was in constant contact with admins and sent them copies of the program, some of the admins had a look, and even tested the programs in servers with me, however, the closed minded members of the ozfl community decided to ban me, and then spread lies and deceit about the purpose of this program.

I wasn't given any chance to address the so-called alegations, and was banned. Wow, I didn't think dabling in c++ with a few lines of code would get anyone banned, especially when the program was actually going to be used for training purposes.

The funny thing is, the program only simplified bhop, which is exactly what FF will end up doing anyways. And one of the current FF staff members even wrote some of the code that I ended up using in my open-sourced program. But, yeah, I'm king hacker for putting in a simple 4 lines of code.

I pulled off the arrow keys and the WASD keys on my keyboard and switched them.

Now I use WASD.

I'd take a picture if I had a camera (with batteries).

i use wasd its the only real way to game. they make the keyboard have 2 sides for a reason. :P
