Looks great - love the map. The detail is great.
But fi grens are a weapon slot I cant see how this game will be anything more than a 30 min trial. If FF was trying to make the gameplay deeper by keeping bhoping and other skill features then TF2 has dumbed the game down by a factor of 10. Priming grenades and using another weapon is like TF101 - you learn it in your 1st session. Infact that is so damaging to the game I cant believe they have taken it out. |

Did I miss something in the video? What part are we referring to that grens may be an actual weapon slot?
If it is the case, then yes, they've nerfed it big style, and it'll be a pain to play. |

I don't think that grens use a weapon slot. If you watch the demo swing the mirv you will notice that he still holds the grenade launcher in the other hand. So I guess he could both shoot and throw a grenade at the same time.

Yeah the "tracers" from AC seem to be going to quite wide area but when seeing the hits in wall it is like in TFC me thinks. It is funny how the hw's nostrils act while shooting in bridge!

The spy's knife animation reminded me of the Matrix Reloaded, with those kung fu ghosts - very cool.
TF2 looks amazing, I can't wait to play it and I too hope it is possible to use grenades and weapons at the same time. I like how the sg was made, it was almost like watching it being born! The spawn of satan indeed! Last edited by o_ritch; 08-24-2006 at 09:12 AM. |

I was in a hurry and if i hear one more person call me a He or him im gunna kill that person, I'm a FEMALE yes a FEMALE THAT PLAYS VIDEO GAMES, GET OVER IT.. and as I said b4 tf2 sucks, and the gameplay looks like shit, VALVe is moking the true TFC'er and the Clans still playing it, and I'm sick of VALVe thinking that this kind of shit is what players want, they never ask or do polls to see what the PPL want, as for FF it is made by ppl who used to or still do play TFC so it is made by and for TFC'er, as i stated b4 FF ALL THE WAY!! |

It possible to use grens with one hand, and your primary still being loaded with the other hand? I can't see them requiring their own weapon slot, it would mean not being able to use them at all in deathmatching.. they'd be pretty much strictly used for initial attack, a la CS.
The game definitely looks beautiful though. This game is going to cause a big splash for sure. |

it could be some system that uses F/G, but disables the weapon while primed, perhaps? it allows for world animations for grenade throwing then, as opposed to grenades popping out of the belly!
i'm not sure how this would fare.. could be an interesting compromise |

My thoughts
Oh the charactors look wonderfull in when they are in motion, I am really liking the cartoon feel of the game, I am sure that just on its looks, it will drag new punters in.
The gren / weapons slot if it turns out that you can not use a gren while shoting will turn out to be a bind though :/ ... would this though force people to use them less (one of the major gripes about TFC seem to be the amount that grens are used) and their guns more? I like how they have made 2Fort as well, it all looks so FRESH, I don't think I will have any problems getting my workmates to play TF2 - and hey, maybe that will make it that much easier to get them playing FF as well Quote:
