so if you make a hole, air gets in and the barrel becomes heavy. but if you put a candle it becomes lighter. i winz

the amount of air that is in the barrell compared to the weight of the wood you just cut out to make a hole is smaller.

For the barrel one, I was going to say "Fire"... but someone used the candle gambit as in "light".

A raging inferno was what I had in mind, though, because whatever was left would easily be lighter. Come to think of it... a lit "lighter" would also make it "lighter" after it consumed all the wood in a blaze of glory
