hl2.exe remains running after exiting FF.

From here:

http://forums.fortress-forever.com/s...ad.php?t=18760

The hl2.exe remains running after exiting FF from a server. I can replicate this every time by simply quitting FF from the main menu while playing in a server.

This did not happen for me before 2.2 nor did it happen to me in the beta.

If I exit the server first before exiting the game, it does not occur.

well dont worry about it too much. that happens to me with cs:s and other games all the time. for some reason either it finally shuts down after the ram is cleared, or it just stays running. i havent figured what causes it but i havent noticed it happen in a week or so.

This is an engine bug and out of our control unfortunately.

Yeah I get this now too since I upgraded to quad core. Didn't have any problem with single. So I'm guessing it's some multi cpu bug in the engine.

No, it was a Steam update that did it. It happens to all games that use hl2.exe and to all systems. Plus, it happened in 2.1 for a week or so before 2.2 was out.
