Counter Strike Source Beta?

I just reinstalled Steam and when I opened it it had all of my games, but it had Counter Strike Source and the Counter Strike Source Beta. WTF? What should I do with it? Delete it or install it? I fear deleting it might cause some sort of file corruption in CSS, and installing it might do the same and be a space waster. I could just leave it alone but it's really bugging me.

Beta has the new Weapon prices on. The ones that change depending on how many people buy it.

It's fun.

New GUI icons and buy menu too. Dynamic weapon prices are much more interesting to play, last week you could buy the Mac10 in the first round. No more DE's in first round so its a lot fairer.

Also buying AK/M4 is a lot more expensive and if you don't survive the round chances are you won't be able to buy it again for a round or two. All the weapons are getting more use now.

P90 ftw, long range headshort bursts.

Sweet. Will it ever be implemented into regular CSS? I think I'll try it because my favorite loadouts are either the Pump Shotty/Duelies or Mac10/Duelies and he told me they went waaaay down.

oh, tell me. is the para still in it? i remember in the days of Superhero Mod, my whole team would buy paras and storm the other team. strikes fear in the hearts of the enemy, it did.

what about the shield?

Lol, the shield has never been in CSS. I liked it though, wish they would put it in.

Para is still there, only the shield isn't. It's like the teleporter of CS, introduced in the Steam version and not really liked at all.

Duelies? LOL - The mose expensive pistols but also the least accurate.

Yeah I just got done playing 1 on 1 with my friend and for some reason I just don't like the ability to not select whether or not you want to buy primary or secondary ammo. It makes the menu feel empty. There are a few other things, like the sounds aren't as perfected as they are in regular CSS and the weapons look smaller onscreen. I just hope they can smooth everything over.

This beta seems to run a whole lot better than the actual CS:source on my pc for some reason which is neat.

The shield was good until a pro came along and simply jumped around the corner of your shield and AK sprayed you while you tried to shoot him with your usp.

Is it because when the CTs used the shield on dust you got angry because they all had cover and you couldn't get a kill?

You have no idea of my CSS 1337ness. I suck at CS though. Weird ass movement. As soon as I sort out this damned client.blob glitch error thing...it told me the beta wasn't available the second time I tried to play it so I followed the instructions and it damn messed up my games.

Cs is better than CSS.. Played Cs for about 7 years, CSS for 1.. It sucks.
