terribly sorry if this has been sceen before, but i just opened up ff site to see if any updates, and in the random media section there appeared a picture of crossover2. i checked the media section and there was no place for crossover2. without further ado, feast your eyes on this!
again, sorry if its been posted/old news, as i dont read the forums much :> |

Well, I've never seen it before.
Interesting. It seems they really care completely reworking that bottom-back room.

This screenshot has already been published ages ago via a media update, and is (amongst others) viewable at the media section (third map). Here to be precise (fourth screenshot). Do something about that posted image by the way, it's skewing the forum layout (resize or remove).

The img tags need to not convert to <img> tags which specify a pixel width, if you want a good solution.

Here's a mapping question. Are they doing the curve in the ramp wall with vertext manipulation or with a displacement?

Was originally just using brushes but then I ran out of brushes for the map (eek!). So I went through it all and replaced most of the curved parts with displacements.

Wow the new map looks terrible for SG placement..... doesn't look I'll be able to place an SG that looks down into the room below anymore.

I thought that, but tbh that only really worked well if there was a tele pad up there as well iirc, which there won't be in FF anyway.
You'd only put an SG there on a pub server as well, the dev team don't care about pub players :P |

Theres a ledge half-way up the spiral made for Sgs and its right next to the respawn drop down. Its begging for SGs once the flag gets moved to the RR.

And you can always find new places to put sgs! The maps aren't 1:1 copies so expect some things to change.
