Classic games

Anyone here into classic/retro gaming?

My gaming days go back to the mid 70's, when I was given the "Telstar Ranger". It had 6 built in games; Pong, Double Pong, Jai-Ali(sp), (can't remember #4), skeet shooting, and target shooting. Controllers were 2 paddles, and a light gun. I still have it, and it still works.

Next up, was the Atari 2600, the grand-daddy of all console's since. I built up a small collection of games(most were Arcade ports), and finally packed it away until about 6 years ago. I pulled it out, and thought it was DOA. I found a website and learned how to do a couple of hardware hacks, and it was working once again. Since then, I've built my collection to over 200 carts.

Other systems I've gotten include the Super Nintendo, N64, Atari 5200, and Atari 7800.

I've also got a large collection of Commodore 64, and Amiga software(not to mention enough hardware to keep a functioning system for the next century).

Anyone else?

Entellivision. SNAFU.

Best classic game of all time.

My grandma had a nearly pristine Atari 2600 but I think she ended up throwing it away along with all the games. Wasn't more than 20 cartridges, but still. Many hours wasted on that thing.

I have two 2600s. One works, one doesn't. Next time I'm down to see you I should bring the one that doesn't work, Iggy.

Favorite Atari games by far are Atlantis and Combat.

Probably the first time I ever played a video game was on a Commodore 64, even though that was around '97 when it was outdated. My favorite game was Star Paws, and I was only 3-4 around that time.

Haha, joysticks are old school.

Two of the earliest games I can recall playing are Sonic 2, and Altered Beast for Sega Genesis.

It wasn't until many years later that my mother broke out the old Atari to play on.

Do you still have that C=64? I have a bunch of them, and keep at least 1 working at all times. They are pretty durable systems, and can still entertain you if you have the games/hardware. If you think something is wrong with it(but still have it), chances are I can help trouble-shoot it and get it working.

Unfortunately, my dad got rid of it some years ago after being stuffed in the garage around '00. Never used it since the end of the 90's, though.

It was fun playing it though. D:

If you can still play it 30 years from now, I'll give you that one.

I still have my Master System and all the games. Unfortunately the Master System stopped working, but I have the adapter for the Genesis to play the games still. Woohoo.

These games I'm about to say probably aren't as classic as something like the Commodore 64, or the Atari whatever, but they are old.

Age of Empires I + II
Starcraft
Warcraft III
Diablo II
Majesty : I dunno, must of been Gold Edition.
Super Mario World

AoE II was hard to avoid when the zone used to be up, it was just too fun. I had so many scenarios saved in my scen folder from mp games it's not even funny, I had like all types of castle blood, archer blood, cavalry blood, infantry blood, etc.

Winner. I started to play that when I was 7 when my dad got it in '00.

The classic Sonic games for the Genesis.

Was actually thinking of trying to get my hands on a C64, but I couldn't find one.
